Ed Eakins started Ed’s Auto Repair in 1979. With wife Liz doing the bookkeeping, Ed built his business into a respected, trusted resource for honest car repair for residents of the Fox Valley area.

Nate Pritt joined Ed’s Auto Repair in 1994. Having worked for an auto parts store, an extended auto warranty company, a dealership, and the previous 9 years as mechanic/service manager at a service station, Nate was able to fill the role needed by a growing auto repair business.

In December of 2016, Ed decided to hang up his wrenches for a well-deserved retirement. Nate accepted his generous offer to take over the business, and Expert Diagnostic Services Auto Repair, Inc. was born.

After working with Keith Rogers for 5 years, Keith has taken advantage of an opportunity to work with some of his old colleagues. His fearlessness to tackle any job and dependability, as well as his amiability is sorely missed. Longtime friend and former co-worker Jason Kuehl joined us in 2017. Jason was Service Manager/Mechanic at Geneva Mobil for many years and is an asset to the shop, performing maintenance as well as mechanic’s duties. This fall Doug Bisso joined the team. Doug’s experience includes wrenching for Krage’s in Villa Park, service writer for a Ford dealership and working at NAPA.

EDS Auto Repair is pleased to present Gloria Novak as our new bookkeeper. She caught on quickly in the savage world of auto repair record keeping.

We work on pretty much everything at EDS Auto Repair, but we really like to work on older classic American cars and little British sports cars. We’ve also been known to work on the occasional Fiat, Porsche and Jaguar.
